This is a draft and is subject to further refinement, and is not in effect until adopted by the Volusia County council.
Definitions of layers:
Priority waters - These are areas that were identified by County Council as critical to the county. The parcels immediately adjacent to these waters are included in the priority review areas.
Priority Review - Wetlands in these areas will be subject to local government review and permitting, including avoidance and minimization of impacts. Wetlands will have a 50 foot upland buffer.
Intermediate Review - Wetlands in these areas will be subject to local government review and permitting. Wetlands will have a 25 foot upland buffer.
Basic Wetland Review - These areas will not require local government review and permitting, although municipalities may choose to enact standards.
